Born Willy Dozan in Magelang, Indonesia on February 10, 1957. He studied Kyokushin Karate and Kung Fu.

During his time in Hong Kong, he became known as Billy Chong Chuen-Lei. He starred in Black Belt Karate, Crystal Fist (Jade Claw), Super Power, and two films in which he teamed up with American teen kung fu expert Carl Scott: Sun Dragon and Kung Fu Executioners. In 1982, Dozan did a few kung fu horror hybrids, Kung Fu from Beyond the Grave and Kung Fu Zombie. In 1983, he had his last lead role in Hong Kong with Sun Chung's A Fistful of Talons. After a brief appearance as a villain in Aces Go Places V: The Terracotta Hit, Dozan returned to Indonesia where under his real name, appeared in many films and TV series.

One of his most recent films, Duel: The Last Choice, co-stars his son Leon, who is also a proficient martial artist. He lives in Jakarta and owns his own production company as well as teach martial arts.

Billy Chong was awesome, never will forget the first time I saw A Hard Way To Die as a young kid on Black Belt Theater in the early 80's, he had that something special. He and Carl were great. "If I catch you messing around with these people again I'm gonna put my foot up your ass!" I would love to see Duel.

Cool memories, used to own that same VHS of Fistful of Talons. Sure would be nice to walk into a theatre like that this weekend and watch those two flicks on the big screen, those were the days.....
