BLACK CAT (1991) -- good DVD available?

Anyone know if a good anamorphic DVD of BLACK CAT (1991) is available with original mono part-English soundtrack?  All I have is the old Ocean Shores LD, and for some reason my LD player isn't letting me select the English/Cantonese track; it will only play the Mandarin dub track, and there are no English subs for the Mandarin-dubbed English parts.  Grrrrrrrrrr.

No, the only disc available (more or less) is the old Mega Star/Media Asia dvd. You can find it at Amazon used/new (3rd party sellers).

Thanks.  Even that would be better.  Is the soundtrack messed up with a rotten 5.1 remix with lousy new foley F/X, or is it the original mono?

And does it have the English dialogue intact during the first part of the film?

There also seems to be a Joy Sales release of it. Which would most likely be anamorphic with mono. Might be remastered, and I can't comment on the quality

Happily I got my original laserdisc player fixed, which WILL let me select the proper Cantonese/English track. It’ll do me until a Blu is released. I hope 88 Films or Eureka can put this out!

Incredible cover art. Usually prefer "less is more" concept, don`t like so much action packed(save some exceptions) covers. That is  simple beauty, fantastic colors too...Was thinking to wait for standard release but re-considered will get limited in case want to have that poster in wall so no regrets later missing it.

Woohoo I think black cat has arrived. Can`t remember did I have any other pre-orders at rarewaves but they are usually slow. But still knowing some has already received physical copies from 88(and local store has it too) this must be it checked my page at post office and saw mail there is item waiting to be picked. I thought "back then" buying vhs bootleg from company called "video search of miami" but money was too tight then. Never seen this before but am huge fan of Nikita concept. What a better time for first view than 88 release...

I got mine today. Looks and sounds fantastic; excellent package all round! Yet another HK action classic has been rescued by 88.
