Member nahnahnah Posted November 29, 2022 Member Share Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) Might as well make a single thread dedicated to Shout Factory releases since they are releasing more and more Asian action titles. Besides the Sonny Chiba and Jackie Chan collections, new listings have been found for Shout Factory releases of Iron Monkey and Zu: Warriors From the Magic Mountain. Member lastninja Posted November 30, 2022 Member Share Posted November 30, 2022 (edited) I appreciate every release of Hong Kong action movies. I just wish that Shout Factory would put more effort into the covers. I mean, this: ... is not far away from this: Considering how beautiful the artwork of the Eureka or 88 Films releases are. At least they used stills from the actual movies. Edited November 30, 2022 by lastninja

Member Ah_Tao Posted December 25, 2022 Member Share Posted December 25, 2022 Just got Bloodfist today. It's definitely barebones as bare ones gets lol. For the price I kinda wish they put it as a double feature. I honestly rather would spend 100 for all 7 flicks in one set then 30 dollars each- having no new bonus features, cover art, slipcase, etc. Still a nice restoration
Member spannick Posted December 25, 2022 Member Share Posted December 25, 2022 Blackbelt is the original uncut version on the Blu btw. the US VHS & DVD were cut of every piece of gore & violence, which this movie has quite a lot.
Member TigerCage1990 Posted December 25, 2022 Member Share Posted December 25, 2022 It was fun to watch them again, I hadn't seen Blackbelt ten years prior to buying it on blu-ray. Both Bloodfist and Blackbelt look better than ever fully uncut despite being barebones without any special features.

Member chen lung Posted 2 hours ago Member Share Posted 2 hours ago Hopefully the retranslated subtitles are based on the Cantonese (rather than the Mandarin, as the specification is suggesting).
