Last things I've gotten are Wayne's World 4K steelbook, Highlander 4K, A Christmas Story, National Lampoon's A Christmas Vacation, Frasier Complete Series Blu Ray and the 5 movie Die Hard collection on blu ray for my mother's Xmas gift. As with most everyone, Shawscope Vol 2 and sad that they all contain the same shaw logo sequence. Frasier looks amazing but any upgrade would over the shoddy PQ of the DVD releases.

2 Shaw Brother films. Had no idea that apart from Shaw Brother going into the horror side of things, they would bring out hammer horror!

This is from  Golden Ninja. I guess you can say it's an official release, not really considered a boot leg though.

I've no idea why the rear of the box has artwork in shoddy CGI from 1996. I have got a live action film have I not? And not a film using graphics like from the Tekken PlayStation 1.

While listening, they mentioned the director of this was the same one as The Story of Ricky, The Cat (never heard of it), many other films and Saga of the Phoenix.

You need to check this one out. Greatest cat vs. dog kung-fu fight every captured on celluloid. I gave it a mini-review more than a decade ago under it's alias 'The 1000 Years Cat' -

So I'm thinking...mmm, that sounds familiar. So it should. I have it on Chinese DVD. While digging it out I noticed Yuen Biao starred.

As he one of the 'Three Brothers', I tended to get Sammo films first, not so much of Jackie and even less of Yuen. I gave up on HKL releasing Chinese movies, so resorted to movies direct from HK via a mail order shop in London.

I noticed it's been released on Asian blu but I wonder if our Western companies would release this with a pukka cover.

What's the chances?

Hopefully zero! Honestly, I consider 'Saga of the Phoenix' to be one of, if not the worse movie in Biao's filmography (I went into detail as to why in my recent 'Yuen Biao in the 90's' feature over at COF). It's actually a sequel to the far more entertaining 'The Peacock King', which I'd be far more willing to see a western Blu-ray release of.

Agreed, PK is far more entertaining, and yes, a western BR release would be most welcome.
