Thanks🥋🥋👍👍 Well actually I didn't buy it. But its something I customed made for my 'To-Watch-List' and popped it into a blu ray box to fit it in my bookshelf. Physical media collections has it's problems. Lack of space. It was only through after watching and listening to the audio commentary of Daimajin, that I heard of it, so I trawled the Internet to find info before looking on nyaa. It's 52 episodes long and only episode 9 is missing subs. It's a real pity it hasn't been released officially, say from Discotek, they like to release Japanese TV shows. This was fan subbed by a Russian group called ARR, which are impossible to get hold of to seed their work. I know next to nothing about this but it caught my attention because of the scale model of Japan when the Ambassador Taishi walks around. So think of it like Jerry Andersons puppet series with beautiful scale models. As for HD, it is out in Japan on blu ray but whether it's HD or not, who's to say. Member Yggdrasil Posted December 31, 2022 Member Share Posted December 31, 2022 (edited) Well more delayed Christmas treats arrived this morning. Fighter in the Wind - I've had the Korean DVD since the film was released but over the years, I lost the main disc. Bugger. Now with technology on your smartphone, I'll be able to translate the DVD booklet. Still like the DVD outer box though with lots of features. The blu ray case is rather simple looking. Aa HD 1080 transfer with Korean, Japanese & English subs. God of Wutang. Not keen on dubbed at all but this is all I could kind of more of the Yuen clan from Miracle Fighters. The Rebel. A Vietnamese martial arts film. Never seen it although I've had this DVD since 2007. Localised pirate version. Only blu ray version I could find was in French. Member Ah_Tao Posted January 1 Member Share Posted January 1 I havent done one of these in a long time. Tbh id rather just wait until once in a while so i dont spam this thread. Soooooo..... I figured I'd compile everything I got this year. Most of these I didnt even pay full price for except the Vinegar Syndrome releases. I either got the others in cheap bids (I literally got OAB for 5 dollars bc everyone was hyped for the Arrow release), or found them for half the price on Amazon. Hope yall like it 8

As to whether they are legit or not? there is a thread about them and you can judge for yourself. As to whether those are "THE" releases to get, I don't know, perhaps someone else can answer that but I will say Monk's Fight is a fun movie with some heavy spaghetti western influences. I was afraid of that. Monk's Fight is a special one, personal favorite, a movie ahead of its time. Love it! I bumped the MF thread to get this question answered, but there was no reply. It's been said that the best version of the movie can be found here on the forum, could be Jammal's work. I believe I've seen Golden Swallow cover somewhere, might be a custom of sorts can be found on DVD. Thanks for the link. Pristine copies, better DVD burner and nice printed covers better than other companies do. Yes, knock off and especially at that price. Still, let us know with screenshots. Last time I bought a DVD that promised high definition remaster, it was anything of the sort. Wu Tang Clan - Shaolin Drunkard definitely was NOT digitally remastered. Yeah, those covers actually leave a lot to be desired. Print on the disc as well. I could share photos of those as well. Never had a problem with them. Was kinda getting to that conclusion myself, makes sense. Thanks for your input, it's quite helpful.
Member Yggdrasil Posted January 3 Member Share Posted January 3 (edited) Error 4444 stuff finally arrived. I was getting worried when I saw everyone else's films arriving and yet I heard nowt my end. Then an email before Crimbo to say they had been shipped. So arrived this arvo. Sure it was a big box, and for good reason. I had no idea of the amount of goodies that I'd receive. Deffo worth the 2 month wait! And Kungfurobbers Ninja in the dragon's den arrived too. Thanks for the film. Member DarthKato Posted January 4 Member Share Posted January 4 Went to Walmart today and got the newly released Black Adam. I’m really looking forward it, so I hope it’s good. I also stumbled across a strange selection of “Valentine’s Day” movies that included such films as “I Spit on Your Grave” and “American Psycho” of all things. I’ve been wanting to see American Psycho for a while, so I picked up this really nice Uncut Version. But I still have no idea what it has to do with Valentines Day.
Member Yggdrasil Posted January 4 Member Share Posted January 4 (edited) Needed more Japanese 'Yokai' films. So just bought this without actually knowing anything about it. I was drawn to the image of the spider head, much like the alien being from John Carpenter's The Thing. Seems like the Japanese (like anyone with taste) really enjoyed John Carpenter's "The Thing", take Wicked City, Lily C.A.T., or more recently Parasyte too. It's a shame people in Hollywood took a dump on it in 2011 and were planning to do so again, but not sure if they've given up on that. I do hope so.

Well Japanese anime is in its own world when it comes to demonds. Take Demon City Shinjinku and Urotsukidoji. They certainly don't make them like that anymore!

I hope it was cheap I think the fights are slightly better that Romeo Must Die, but I think the characters in RMD were far less irritating. It also has a small role for Johnny Tri Nguyen, though he doesn't get to do much.

As long as its a half-decent action flick, I'll be happy.

It's awaits it's release after many decades doing time in a Warners vault. I got that too. Again it's an upscale from the later 2000's dvd release but has the correct aspect raito with black bars inbetween it.
