Interesting stories from superkicker Ron, but it didn't refute what the documentary said. To be honest I thought the documentary wasn't harsh on Ron and it did seem that JC was frustrated with him when it came to the timing etc., not that I'm trying to dis Ron, he is an incredible martial artist and he was thrown in at the deep end.

Not that it matters that much to the vid, but years ago when I was still training seriously (and was on FB) I contacted many stuntmen and martial artist and Ron was one of the nicest that I ever spoke to. Even though I was just some kid wanabe, he always took the time to talk to me about his career and even giving me advice on my own training. I'm happy he's done so well for himself.

That's fascinating. It must be tough, especially when it was captured on the My Stunts documentary. Smoorenburg has nothing to be ashamed of. He's a fantastic martial artist, Jackie's fights demand a more gymnastic athlete. Did you see the video where he breaks down how much doubling was going on during the fight? I had no idea Jackie was doubled so much. All I'll say is that I'm not sure how many fans it's going to win him.
