When 36 Styles revealed one of their latest designs would be bringing the kung fu classic, The Challenger, to the masses, it brought to my attention that – oddly enough, I had not seen this film.
To some, it is simply known as a Buddhist monastery in the Henan province of China. To others, it is synonymous with the best of the best of martial arts styles. When watching a classic kung fu movie and if it involved Shaolin Kung Fu, the Shaolin Temple, or Shaolin Monks, it usually meant you’d be witnessing a higher level of excellence.
